COMPETITION: Suggest a New Pub Name and Win £100!

A “pub with no name” at 40-42 Bevois Valley Road, Southampton, is looking for a new name. It is inviting suggestions with the promise of a £100 cash prize for whoever suggests the name that is finally chosen.

Landlord Colin Pollard has placed an advert in the Southern Daily Echo and says,
“We would like the name to be unique as opposed to traditional and would like the image created by the name to suggest a fun venue with a unique quality”.

The Ramblers Association Festival of Winter Walks celebrates its 20th year this year and is an ideal opportunity to walk off some of those Christmas excesses.

Around 17,000 people typically take part in the walking festival’s 700 free guided walks which range from short family walks to serious hill hikes.
